Flex BDM MPC5XX SW allows full read and full write of the ECU, including each of the memories stored inside the control unit without any encryption. In the case of master and slave ECUs, both are compatible. This protocol is much faster than any other BDM tool on the market, especially since it has been designed for new hardware. Adjusting, pairing, and restoring the backup are not a problem at all, and can be done in a few seconds. It will also be possible to read and write shadow memories (the content will be added to the internal flash readout), which comes in handy when it comes to BMW ECUs. Reading times have been tested by around one minute in total, according to the ECU model. Write times do not depend on the actual size of the modification within the file, as the tool is fast enough even without skipping sectors. Less than two minutes will be more than enough for a complete clone.
